Questions, corrections and rights requests
Contact Stargazing Finder
Messages concerning factual accuracy, access changes, privacy, accessibility, advertising, or general site matters can be sent by email.
Factual corrections
Correction requests are easier to assess when they identify the exact page, the statement in question, the date the issue was noticed, and a reliable source that supports the proposed change. Official notices, park pages, observatory announcements, government records, and direct statements from responsible organizations are especially useful.
- Include the full page URL.
- Quote the sentence or data point that may be wrong.
- Explain what has changed or why the statement is inaccurate.
- Add the strongest available source link and its publication or update date.
Road, park and access changes
Night access can change without much notice. Seasonal gates, construction, wildfire restrictions, snow, event closures, habitat protection, private-land enforcement, ferry changes, and observatory schedules may make an older route impractical. Reports from local authorities or responsible site operators receive priority over informal reports.
Privacy and data requests
Requests concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, consent withdrawal, or other applicable privacy rights should use the subject line “Privacy Request.” Enough information must be included to identify the relevant correspondence or interaction. Sensitive identification documents should not be sent unless specifically requested through a secure method.
Accessibility feedback
Barriers involving keyboard navigation, contrast, headings, forms, link labels, map alternatives, zoom behavior, or screen-reader output can be reported with the affected URL, device, browser, and assistive technology. A brief description of the expected result is helpful.
Advertising and commercial inquiries
Commercial messages should clearly state the organization, proposed format, requested placement, and whether compensation or free services are involved. Undisclosed paid placement, purchased rankings, and requests to suppress material cautions are not accepted.
Message boundaries
The contact address is not monitored as an emergency channel. It cannot confirm live weather, legal parking, road safety, border conditions, medical suitability, or whether a location is open at the moment a message is sent. Personal itinerary requests may not receive an individual response.
Spam, automated link requests, deceptive partnership proposals, abusive messages, and submissions containing unlawful material may be filtered or deleted.
